EMMA LORD (She/Her/Hers) (Amelie) is so excited to be performing in Pace Performing Arts’ Amélie! Emma has previously been on the various Pace stages as Radio 1 in Caroline, or Change, a member of the quartet in City of Angels, and Feuilly in Les Misérables, amongst other things. Thank you so much to Chloe, Richard and the entire incredible crew for making this show such a wonderful experience! For Tim. 

 

JANA JACKSON (She/Her/Hers) (Amelie) is honored to have the opportunity to perform the role of Amelie in it’s collegiate premiere! She’s so proud to share the stage with this brilliant cast, comprised of the most talented and inspiring people she knows. She’d like to thank Chloe for creating magic through her direction and the Creative team for making that magic possible! She has learned so much in this process and is grateful to God and her family for loving and inspiring her to work hard to accomplish her goals! And she’d like to give a very Special shoutout to èlie !!

ABDU HYTREK (He/Him/His) (Nino) is extremely excited to join this amazing cast/team. Pace credits include Les Miserables (ensemble/Valjean U/S), Pete(her)Pan (pirate). Regional credits include By Association (MPAACT theater) The Realm (The Other Theatre Company) Animals out of paper (Shattered Globe Theatre) I and You (Booth Theater). He wants to say thanks to his amazing mother for all her help and support in his journey as a performer. 

 

MATTHEW SMOLSKY (He/Him/His) (Nino) is excited to be bringing Amélie to the stage in his final year at Pace. Past Pace Credits include Mary & Max (Swing), Pete(Her) Pan (Ensemble), multiple artists in residence projects. Most recently, he originated the title role in the new glam-rock musical Captain Zuke. Smolsky currently serves the Pace New Musicals Selection Committee Chair. His debut album Sea Salt + Strawberries is now streaming on all platforms. LIAM PEARCE (He/Him/His) (Lucien/Adrien/Mysterious Man/Lug) is a Sophomore at Pace this year and is thrilled to be making his Main stage debut in Amelie! Over the summer, Liam worked at Point Sebago Resort in Casco, ME performing as Roger in Grease, as well as the companies of Mamma Mia and Madagascar: A Musical Adventure. Other roles Liam has played include Melchior in Spring Awakening, Cry Baby in Cry Baby, Horton the Elephant in Seussical, and Edward Bloom in Big Fish. Liam wants to thank Chloe, Richard, the Stage management team and crew of Amelie for this incredible experience and opportunity as well has his friends and family for the endless support! CINDY TSAI (She/Her) (Suzanne) Previous Pace credits include Les Misérables and Sam Pinkleton's Showtune Blowout. A founder/creator of "A Night Of Color" which features the POC in the BFA musical theatre department. So much gratitude to my parents, family, & friends who have supported me! HANA SHAYNA GOTTLIEB (They/Them/Theirs) (Young Amelie) is so excited to be telling the story of Amelie with their incredible friends and colleagues. They are no stranger to the Schaberle stage, having appeared as Freida in Sunday in The Park With George this past Fall. Hana would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to vote in their upcoming elections, and to always remember that as artists and patrons of the arts, we have a responsibility to fight for disenfranchised communities in our country with our art, our voices, our money, AND our daily actions! @hanagottlieb 

 

ADRIANA MEDINA SANTIAGO (She/Her/Hers) (Gina/Sylvie) is a Sophomore Pace MT. She is excited to be making her first Pace mainstage debut! Her past Pace credits include: HATCHED at Fienstiens 54 below directed by Zi Alikahn  and SHOWTUNES BLOWOUT directed by Sam Pinkleton. She would like to thank the faculty for their support and love. She would also like to thank her mother because, I mean, duh.

 

FALAN NUHRING (She/Her/Hers) (Georgette/Collignon’s Mother) is a Junior Musical Theatre major at Pace and is thrilled to be sharing this story! Pace credits include Les Miserables (Assistant Music Director/Swing) and PNM Lab Songs For Slutty Girls (U/S Skank and Tramp/Assistant Music Director). Endless gratitude for this extraordinary company and opportunity. Special thanks to Chloe and Richard for making art with us.

 

ERNEST A. MINGO II (They/Them) (Dufayel/Collignon) is a Sophmore in the Musical Theater Program and they stand proudly among this cast of wonderful performers. They are not a stranger to stage as Ernest was the only first-year cast in last semester's main stage production of Memphis but unfortunately, they had to undergo knee surgery which stopped them from being in any of the performances. They are not only back and better, but absolutely ecstatic to give the audience a show as Dufayel in Pace MT's production of Amelie.

 

NATHAN LEVY (He/Him/His) (Gnome/Blind Beggar) Is beyond excited and grateful to be a part of such a unique show with the kindest group of artists. Pace Credits: Les Mis, Pete(Her) Pan, Regional: Pittsburg CLO's Peter Pan, Hershey Park, La Jolla Playhouse. A Southern California Native, Junior Pace MT! Thank you, Mom & Dad!

 

MICHAEL SHOFI (He/Him/His) (Raphael/Bretodeau) is always glad to have an opportunity to work with his friends.  He is a senior this year and spends the majority of his time writing music with his collaborator and dear friend Jameson.  He also has a passion for working on new musicals and most recently he could be seen in a reading of The Picher Project at 54 Below.  He is also a pit guitarist and can be found playing gigs at various venues in NYC showcasing his music.  A special thanks to the cast, Chloe, Richard, the entire creative team, the wonderful stage managers, the band, and his family!  Enjoy the show!

 

TIM WEBB (He/Him/His) (Joseph/Fluffy/Collignon’s Father) is so excited to be a part of the cast of Amelie playing Joseph/Fluffy. He is a senior musical theatre major and has been previously seen at Pace in City of Angels, Sunday in the Park with George, and Pete(her) Pan! He would like to thank Chloe and Richard for an amazing process as well as the MT CLASS OF 2020!!!

 

AARON RICHARD BURT (He/Him/His) (Male Swing) recently played Jesus Christ in Jesus Christ Superstar, Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, Reverend Shaw in Footloose, and Mushnik in Little Shop Of Horrors. He is currently a BFA Musical Theater Junior. He would like to give thanks to his family, friends, and professors who led him to this opportunity. Especially to his mom, dad, and to the entire cast, crew, and directing staff who made this journey an unforgettable one.

Creative Team Bios

CHLOE TREAT (She/Her/Hers) (Director) is a New York based director and choreographer. Born and raised in the great, if not occasionally problematic state of Texas; she directs and choreographs big ass musicals. Hire her to do any show with a dream ballet, a musical with 100 people that only has two weeks to rehearse, or if you're doing Seven Brides for Seven Brothers because she really wants to do that one. Some of the things she cares about, in no particular order, are: improving the representation of women on stage and in creative teams, democratizing storytelling, Pina Bausch, using the theatre as a center for community and dialogue, golden age musicals, Tennessee Williams, and Westerns!
 

KYLE BEST (He/Him/His) (Assistant Director) is a NYC based stage director with a focus on new musicals and ensemble-based work. His previous assisting work at PACE includes Peter and the Starcatcher (dir. Amanda Connors) & Polaroid Stories (dir. Raelle Hodges), his devising work includes Animal Farm (dir. Veselka Kuncheva). His stage work has been seen at Access Theater, St. Pauls Theater, Eugene O'Neill Theater Center(NTI), North Coast Rep, California Center for the Arts. He is very excited to be assisting Chloe throughout this process and is thankful to the entire cast and creative team for this amazing opportunity. BA Directing & Film/Screen Studies, PACE School of Performing Arts.

 

ZELDA ROGERS (She/Her/Hers) (Assistant to the Director) is a sophomore musical theater major. Her most recent credits include Sam Pinkleton’s AIR workshop at Pace University and the role of Kitty in The Drowsy Chaperone at Quisisana Resort. She has very much enjoyed her time being apart of the Amélie production team, and wants to thank Chloe for being such a great mentor!

 

ALEXANDRA VALLEY (Sound Designer) is in her final year at Pace University, pursuing a BFA in Production and Design. Her previous credits include Sound Designer on The Wild Party (Pace University) and A2 on Gloria: A Life (Off-Broadway).

 

DAVID MORGOLIN LAWSON (Sound Designer) Recent works include: Bars and Measures (Urban Stages), Oliver Twist (The New School), Barrabas (TFNC), DanceAfrica (BAM), A Letter to Harvey Milk (Acorn Theater). 

 

EVANGELINE DILLARD (She/Her/Hers) (Props Master) is very excited to be a part of this team! She is a sophomore in Pace's Design and Production program. Her past credits include props build for Pace's productions of Peter and the Starcatcher and Memphis, as well as working at Clear Space Theatre Company during high school.

 

EVELYN NEWMAN (She/Her/Hers) (Assistant Lighting Designer) is very excited to be working with the cast and crew of Amélie this semester! She is a sophomore at Pace University for Production and Design for the Stage and Screen. Select lighting design credits include You’re...Charlie Brown, 42nd Street, Music Man. Pace credits include IPE Devised Works ‘18 (Asst. Lighting Designer), Emergence (Programmer), Memphis (Programmer), and dancesPace ‘19 (Asst. Lighting Designer). She would like to thank Matt and the rest of the crew for all their amazing work!

 

EMILY ATWOOD (AME, Programming, Board Op.) is a freshman BFA design and production major here at Pace University. Recent credits include How to Make Friends and then Kill Them (Lighting Designer) at Stand Up! Productions, Shrek Jr. (Lighting Designer, Board Op.), and Legally Blonde (Spot Op., AME, Assistant Designer) at VVS. 

 

DENNIS EBERT (Production Stage Manager) is a junior BA stage management student originally from Boston, MA. His other Pace credits include: Dance Out Loud 2019 (ASM) and Peter and the Starcatcher (ASM). This past summer he worked as the stage management intern at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. He would like to thank everyone involved in this production for making it such a joy to work on! TORI PIERCE (She/Her/Hers) (Company Manager) is thrilled to be working with the magnificent cast and crew of Amelie. Tori is a current junior at Pace University, pursuing her BA in Stage Management. Some of her favorite past credits include: Fallapolooza (ASM - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon), Hannah Senesh (ASM - National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene), Crazy For You (Asst. Production Manager - Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival), Sunday in the Park with George (ASM - Pace University), Dance Out Loud 2018 (ASM - Pace University). Tori currently serves as a Production and Costumes Intern at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. JAKE BARDACK (pronouns: anything but “it”) (1st Assistant Stage Manager) is very excited to be working on Amélie! Bardack is a junior stage management major at Pace and previous Pace credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, Dance sPace, and IPE. Bardack has worked summerstock seasons at the Hackmatack Playhouse in Maine, the Pacific Conservatory Theatre in California, and, most recently, the Dorset Theatre Festival in Vermont. BRONWYN EASTLICK (She/Her/Hers) (2nd Assistant Stage Manager) is a Sophomore Stage manager here at Pace. Her credits include PA for Boeing Boeing, PA for Dance out Loud, ASM senior dance showcase and now ASM for Amélie. Bronwyn is so excited to be working on this show and getting to work with this amazing team! She would like to thank her parents for supporting her no matter what! She hopes you enjoy the show! BRIAN PECOR (He/Him/His) (Production Assistant) is a freshman stage manager here at Pace and is so excited to join the stage management team of Amélie. This has been one of his favorite theater experiences so far and hopes to make even more great memories along the way! He would like to thank his parents, the Amélie Stage Management team, and Chris Zaccardi!
